| Aerial Photo Theme - Displays “ortho-rectified” aerial photo images. The aerial photo that is turned on by default is the High Resolution 2003 Color Ortho Photography images. In this theme not turned on are the 2003 MrSid images, 2002 MrSid images collected at 1 ft per pixel resolution by USGS, and 2001 MrSid images. | ![]() |
| Basic Theme - Displays basic map information, including addresses, roads, property boundaries, and building footprints. | ![]() |
| Census Tracts - Census data is compiled at the block level. The blocks are grouped to form block groups, voting precincts, and tracts. | ![]() |

| Subdivision Theme - The subdivisions are collected from the Property Assessor data. The subdivision names are gathered from plats and may not be the same as found at the physical entrance. The boundaries of the subdivision are aligned to the parcel boundaries when the subdivision is digitized. Parcel boundaries may change prior to subdivision updates. The subdivisions are updated quarterly. In older parts of the County, new subdivisions exist within older subdivisions. | ![]() |
| Traffic Counts Theme - The City of Knoxville's Engineering Department collects Traffic Counts in the Spring and the Fall at various stations within the City Limits. The count data is listed in a 24 hour period with a start time and measurements every hour. The counts are adjusted based standard traffic count methods. The locations are general and should be with 50 feet of the actual location. The data from MPC and TDOT show daily counts in both directions and for previous years back to 1985. | ![]() |
| Transportation - This theme shows the TDOT SmartWay highway cameras locations. Tennessee’s intelligent transportation system is designed to reduce traffic congestion by reducing incident clearance time, increase safety by decreasing the number of secondary accidents, working with the incident management program (HELP), and improving emergency response to traffic situations. TDOT SmartWay uses cameras to monitor the highways from Traffic Management Centers, sensors to gauge traffic flow, large electronic message boards to send urgent traffic notices to drivers along the highways, and the Highway Advisory Radio system. | ![]() |

| Zip Codes - Zip code boundaries based on 2000 Census aligned to KGIS Landbase. Includes file maintained by MPC Addressing which adjusted 2000 census boundaries further based actual zip codes used by Post Office. KGIS merged 1990 zip code data for surrounding counties in the KUB area. | ![]() |
