Web Site Introduction

Information on this website is derived from various governmental departments within the City of Knoxville, Knox County and the "Knoxville Utilities Board (K.U.B.), who together have created a centralized “geographic information system”: KGIS.

New Feature: Search Results now contain links to Knox County's Register of Deeds' Imaging System.  This will give you access to owner and parcel documents which have been scanned into the Register's system. For more information about accessing documents from the Register of Deeds please see the following FAQ article.

Search: The Search tab allows the user to query against the GIS database for certain map-related data, such as an address, or property, or a property owner.

Legend: To obtain more information about the maps, and the specific features contained on them, review the Legend tabs.

Layer: The GIS software on which this web site is based allows the user to "toggle on" or "toggle off" specific map features. Use the "visible" check button to turn on/off specific features. Click the Refresh Map button to update the map. Click the "definition" button to display the feature's metadata.
