Quick Tour

This is a tour of some common features in the application:

  1. Start the web mapping application.

  2. Enter an address in the Address Quick Search and click the Search button.

  3. Review candidate addresses in the Search Results panel on the Results tab.

  4. Select the address you are interested in by clicking the Show Map and Details button. The map will zoom to the selected location and the property detail information will appear in the Details Report.

  5. Click on to open the Owner Card Report for the selected property.

  6. Use the following tools to navigate the map:

    TIP - To expand the extent of the map window, simply collapse the console by clicking on the small gray arrow between it and the map window. A new Search will automatically re-open the console.

  7. Use Themes to quickly change the contents and symbology (theme) of the map.

  8. Use the Point In Area tool on the Toolbar to quickly report on a location. Click with the left mouse button on the map. A small icon is added to the map identify icon and information about the Location is added to the Details Report section of the Results tab.

  9. Use the Select Parcels By Polygon tool on the Toolbar to select multiple parcels. Click the left mouse button at the first point in the polygon. Click the second point of the polygon. Continue adding points (vertices) of the polygon. Double-click to complete the polygon. The map will select any parcels that intersect the area of the rectangle. Results are added to the Search Results section of the Results tab.

  10. Go to Map Contents to turn on and off layers. Map Contents shows the map services and layers in your map. Click on the plus sign to Expand a map and its layers nodes in the tree view to show the contents of the map. If enabled, click the check-box next to one or more layers to turn the layer on or off. The map will update to reflect the visibility settings in Map Contents.
