KGIS turns 40 years old this August!!! Our "computerized mapping system" was initially formed back in August 1985 via a Tri-Party Agreement amongst the City of Knoxville, Knox County and Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB). Since that time, we've adopted our formal name ("Knoxville - Knox County - KUB Geographic Information System") and grown in our number of partners, but the mission remains the same:  to provide "coordinated geographic information management" for the City, County, and KUB.

THANK YOU to all of those who have supported this KGIS organization over these past 40 years. On we go.....
