New map theme Knoxville Neighborhood Groups and new viewer added to KGIS

The Office of Neighborhoods (OON) is proud to announce the launch of a Neighborhood Groups map layer on KGIS. With support from KGIS and the City of Knoxville’s Engineering Department, OON was able to map the boundaries of approximately 100 neighborhood groups throughout the city.

Also, KGIS and OON have created the “Neighborhood Groups Viewer” --- an application that allows the site visitor to get a bird’s eye view of neighborhood group boundaries, search for groups, import other map layers, and perform other functions. For tips on using the Viewer, click on the “Help” button and download the PDF document.
